It’s a common occurrence, particularly for women, to feel as though you must put others before yourself and take care of everyone else’s needs, regardless of whether it’s whats best for you. You may often find yourself in a position where you fail to set aside time for yourself due to other factors, such as stress or a hectic schedule. Self care and self love allows us to find time to heal and find happiness within ourselves, amid the chaos that life tends to throw at us; this then prevents a negative mental state that is a consequence of neglecting self care. The truth is, the relationships we have with ourselves are far more important than the ones we have with anyone else- yet it is the one we often fail to see the importance in more than any other.
Self care and self love is all about understanding that it isn’t selfish, but mandatory that we take time for ourselves whenever possible. Here are twenty-five self care practices that I personally use, and can vouch for when it comes to improving self esteem, boosting confidence, and improving a poor mental state. (They’re also fairly easy to implement into your everyday life).
