Our bodies, the vessels and sanctuaries that we call our homes, have done so much for us, and operate tirelessly to keep us functioning. However, we continue to neglect our immediate homes, and don’t tend to ourselves in the same way that we would care for our bedroom, our community, or even the Earth. We consistently under-appreciate the magic of who we are, because we see our bodies as ours to keep forever, unlike homes that we can freely move in and out of. But one day, our souls journey will take us elsewhere, and we must transcend and part ways with the physical form that we currently reside in.
Expressing true gratitude and love towards our form not only helps to promote a healthy body image, but deepens our acceptance for who we are. We are visitors of this world. Long-living souls residing in temporary bodies. But nevertheless, bodies that we must cherish and nurture. A shell that we must nourish and thank for protecting us from the world. This is a self love affirmation and journaling prompt that helps with feeling present and in love with your body. Read it. Chant it. Feel it.

My body. My sanctuary. My home. My Protector.
Thank you for working incessantly and persistently to keep me in this plane and connected to this world, even on the days where I would rather be elsewhere.
Thank you for adoring me, even during the times where I cannot reciprocate such tenderness.
Thank you for pumping blood through my veins and keeping my heart beating, despite all the complexities of life and the battles that I have fought.
Thank you for working energetically to be my safe haven. It is a gift from the universe that I am here today, shielded by such a magical and beautiful vessel.
Carried by powerful legs, even when I am unsure of where I am going. Grounded and connected to the Earth and physical realm by my feet. Nourished and sustained by my soft stomach.
Steered and emboldened by my sensitive heart. Maintained and sustained by my mind, which continuously reminds me that there is far more to life and existence than what is tangible.
Thank you for keeping me present. Alive. Moving. Feeling. Flourishing.
